Bishop Philip gave the following statement after the Parliamentary Vote regarding Trident/the Nuclear Deterrent

1st March 2007: Priesthood

Bishop Philip gave this talk, the beginning of a reflection of the Priesthood, to the younger priests of the Diocese who were together for an inservice.

18th February 2007: Pastoral Letter on Religious Freedom

Bishop Philip has published a pastoral letter on Religious Freedom, which will be distributed to the Catholic Community of the Diocese on Saturday 17th/Sunday 18th February.

Prompted by the Government's implementation of the Equality Act 2006, particularly as this legislation affects Catholic Adoption Agencies, Bishop Philip looks at the implications of the current governmental policy on religious freedom and personal conscience.
